HMR Kindergarten: Components of Learning to Read, Reading Lions Center, 2003 TRT: 9:00 Minutes	The Alphafriend, Hattie the Horse, is introduced using the Alphafriend Riddle, the Alphafriend Audiotape, and the Alphafriend Folder. Students practice listening for /h/, and compare and review the /h/ sound in the kindergarten classroom.
HMR Kindergarten: Reading a Decodable Book, Reading Lions Center, 2004 TRT: 9:20 Minutes	The phases of direct teaching are used to introduce a kindergarten class to their very first Decodable Book, A Vat. Appropriate for grades K-1.
HMR Grade 1: Components of Learning to Read, Reading Lions Center, 2003 TRT: 26:09 Minutes	The following components of Learning to Read: Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, Connecting Sounds to Letters, Connecting Sounds to Spelling and Writing, Blending Words and Sentences, and Comprehension Skills (including Rereading the Big Book), are shown in two first grade classrooms.
